Excellent hearing protection. We've four of such. I couldn't care less that they're big (they may be really big). They certainly the position a lot better than any muffs I have ever tried. The thing imperative that you me is protection of my hearing and my kids' hearing. I've tried plenty of other muffs and absolutely nothing comes close. They're extremely quiet. I take advantage of ear plugs with the muffs. I shoot indoors and there's the opportunity why these large muffs could possibly get knocked off by recoil etc. The plugs are for backup.
